- Written condition report
A brutalist masterpiece of post-war Bohemian glass artistry. Designed in 1964 by the celebrated glass maestro Pavel Hlava for the prestigious Exbor studio, this heavy, hand-faceted block vase is a geometric triumph. The piece showcases a stunning optical illusion achieved through the complex sommerso technique: a sharp cobalt blue core seamlessly dissolving into a golden amber base, all encased in pristine clear crystal. Crafted with uranium glass, it exhibits a striking neon-green luminescence under UV light. An architectural collector’s item tailored for high-end Mid-Century design spaces.
